About CARRY+

CARRY+ is an initiative using a self-paced modality to combine an online format in partnership with “Living Works” bringing the science of suicide prevention alongside faith-based principles. This on-line course adds a facilitated online experience as part of the unique features of CARRY+. Participants receive access in Part I to the LivingWorks START program and then in Part II add a five-point faith-based construct: Care, Assess, Redeem, Refer, and Yoke.

Participants add understanding, knowledge, skill sets, and a platform from which to recognize the many signs of suicidal thoughts and how to connect in life-giving ways. The curriculum covers a wide range of topics including how to identify ‘at risk’ individuals, when to take immediate action, and how to apply supportive measures to impart self-worth, respect and life skills. CARRY+ offers an educational and spiritual approach to address the complex nature of relationships along with suicide prevention.

Our vision is to see CARRY+ equip individuals, organizations, churches and communities in partnership with a greater understanding and a shared approach to build relationships with tools of suicide awareness. The course is designed to create a common ground within communities to foster a safety net for individuals at risk of suicide. The course objectives to include both spiritual and emotional dynamics to impart the spirit of love and hope.

Molly McNamara
in honor of Adam Thomas...

When it came time for Molly to find healing from the loss of her son, Adam Thomas on May 31, 1998, she turned to understand more about the pain which can drive someone to consider suicide. There is a place where we can all learn more about how to come alongside someone we care about when they are showing signs of turning away from life.
