We saw a powerful move of God in our city of Houston as Christians gathered together from different churches and ministries to serve the community, worship publicly and stand for families. In Houston WMI graduated our first class of Leading Ladies; women who are empowered to walk in their God-given identity as both women and leaders as they follow the Lord's calling to be solutionists and life-givers. We ended the month with a mission trip to Amsterdam to serve at a missions' conference called Renew with other leaders from across Europe.
Corey and I have partnered with this organization for many years. They are a group of people from around the world who are called to bring Jesus to Europe. They are frontline workers sharing the good news of the gospel of Jesus and building their communities through resources and relationships. It was a joy to be with them and hear how God is moving in places that formerly seemed spiritually dead across Europe; now life is springing up as quietly revival is here.
The presence of God was so real and powerful as we gathered corporately. Molly, Corey and I served on the prayer team, providing a safe space after each session of worship and teaching for the leaders to receive prayer. We are so humbled by all they sacrifice to serve the Lord and so honored to be able to encourage and celebrate what God is doing.
At this conference the Lord beautifully brought together what I had seen Him doing all month in these other gatherings. He is bringing together His people in partnerships, not based on denomination or building a brand, but to be on mission for His glory. The alignment of the mission has to be individually each one knowing who He is, and who He says we are, and then coming together in that unity.
Because He is, I am in Him, and we are in Him. When we are in Him, we bring His character and impact our communities with the fruit of His Spirit.
Transformation happens when we are in Christ, and Christ is in us!
