A LEADER'S LIFE

Cultivating leaders who are salt and light
in their spheres of influence

OUR MISSION

to Cultivate leaders who are salt and light in their spheres of influence

OUR MOTIVATION
Too many people labor under the false belief that there are some things that are best left to pastor or prayer ministers to do.  We want to shift that so that everyday Christ followers make the biggest impact possible where they are every day, beyond the four walls of a church building.
In this curriculum, we have taken key topics from the Teaching Fellowship Institute School of Ministry (SOM) and packaged them in a three-track format, presented to leaders whose passion is to equip, influence and bring long-term transformation into their sphere of influence, whether in the workplace, ministry, or place of business based on a right alignment with the plans and purposes of the Kingdom of God.

Whether you are in corporate business, the trades, education, retail, running a community center, coaching a team, or you are super intentional about parenting your kids, serving in your local church, or wherever you have influence, this course is for you!

Our vision for this three-track format is to equip men and women to be great ambassadors for Christ in their everyday lives.

In the movie The Forge (2024), one young man’s life is transformed when he finds himself in the employ of a God-fearing man on a mission not just to make a profit, but to be salt and light in the lives of his employees, partners, business associates, and the greater community.

That is the kind of people we aim to cultivate through Leadership Life!

The curriculum differs from the School of Ministry, with each track available for purchase individually or as a bundle.

The Leadership Life study package allows you to go at your own pace and apply what you learn in your everyday practice: no exams, no logging hours, no small group or mentoring requirements. As a leader, you may want to take advantage of the benefits of booking a 1-hour online mentoring session with Molly or Dana from time to time as you work through the curriculum (a booking fee applies), but it is not a requirement.

Should you wish to pursue further studies, the School of Ministry (SOM) is available, designed for those seeking to deepen their understanding of prayer ministry and counseling, with the ultimate goal of becoming competent, which can lead to credentials as a prayer minister. Over a rigorous two-year training period, Fellows log 200 hours of observation, co-ministry, and leading sessions with clients. This includes regular mentoring and instructor-led small group sessions.

Frequently asked questions

Who is a good candidate for studying the “A Leader’s Life” (ALL) curriculum?

Any Christ follower determined to make the biggest impact possible through their life. Wherever their everyday world brings them, especially beyond the four walls of a church building.

Recommended readings for A Leader’s Life (ALL)?

Books by the Instructors as listed in the 'Free Stuff' section in TFI. Please check out all the material we have made available to you at no cost.

When does A Leader’s Life (ALL) start and finish?

This is a self-paced online course.  You can sign up any time and take as much time as you need to complete it.  Along the way, should you choose to, you can book mentoring sessions with the instructors.

Can I transition from A Leader’s Life (ALL) to the School of Ministry (SOM)?

SOM is a more comprehensive commitment, and partial credit for ALL will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Annual open enrollment for SOM is from August 1 to December.

As a leader, there are times when you’re in a position where you are developing staff, mentoring a friend, or giving counsel to a believer on their journey. The videos mention moments of "prayer ministry," which translates to this position as a leader. How can you apply these strategies?

The principles and strategies discussed in ALL adapt easily to any life circumstance or relationship situation.

Is the information in ALL available for me to share with others?

While the intention of A Leader's Life is to provide leaders with helpful information and a framework of healing for themselves and others, we ask that you apply and share the principles while encouraging each individual to deepen their own healing journey by doing their individual work once they have passed the point of needing “triage”.

What if I have questions regarding the material?

We LOVE questions! If you feel you have questions that need to be addressed with an instructor, please reach out to us via this link to meet with one of our instructors who meets your timetable.

Does this lead to any certification or degree plan?

No, our School Of Ministry is more helpful in that area.

Can a leader or someone I’m working with be referred for prayer ministry counseling with one of the Instructors?

Dana Grindal and Molly McNamara both take new clients. Click this link and select ‘consultation’ for a 1-hr chat to discuss details with either one.
